History: Parker was born Brewynn, daughter of Udonna and Leanbow, in the mystical demirealm of Rootcore that makes up one half of the world of Angel Grove. She was brought to the mundane world by her godfather Daggeron when her parents gave their lives to seal a great evil in the magical realm. Unable to care for the child at the current time, Daggeron gave Brewynn up for adoption, where she wound up with the Parker couple. As she was still an infant, they named the baby 'Elyse'.
Years later, unbeknownst to the Parkers or young Elyse, the Parker couple would wind up working for Daggeron, now a highly successful entrepreneur named Johnathan Rage. He had recently gained custody of another child whose destiny was similar to that of Elyse, the young Tommy Oliver. Tommy and Elyse became great friends, and while the Parkers worked for Johnathan, Johnathan took care of Elyse as if she were his own daughter. When Elyse was 7 she would lose her father due to a sudden illness, which put the Parker family in a precarious position that made them completely reliant on Mr. Rage, which allowed him to fulfill his duty to Elyse's birth parents.
Elyse grew into a happy, athletic, independent young woman with somewhat eclectic tastes in both friends and interests. However, something tugged at her heart the older she became, as if something was missing from her idyllic life... something that would come barreling into their world during her Junior year of High School - Witch-Baron Rita Repulsa's army of monsters and the five-man fighting force that would protect their world from her dark magics, the Power Rangers. For the first few weeks, Elyse would be completely unaware that some of her life long friends were part of the superhero team... but when Tommy was taken and turned into a vessel for Rita's dark power coin, that of the Dragon, she would be pulled into their world as well. Rita knew of Elyse and Johnathan Rage's origins and sought to kill them using Tommy, but Tommy's own destiny as well as his strong heart allowed him to shrug off Rita's magic, buying Zordon the time he needed to seal the darkness of the Dragon power coin so that it could be used as a force of good.
The six Rangers were able to soundly defeat Rita and bring peace back to Angel Grove... but only a few months after the disappearance of Rita did a greater force of darkness arise - Lord Zedd. The six rangers struggled to defeat his army of monsters, empowered by a darkness beyond the world of Angel Grove, but as they proved more troublesome than Zedd wished to admit, he was forced to bring Rita back from her dark prison. With their first act working together, they proved they were too great a force of evil for even the Rangers to defeat. Using shadowy monsters from beyond the world of Angel Grove, they almost managed to kill Mr. Rage and Elyse in order to bring Tommy back to their side. He gave his life to save his 'sister', leaving her with the dragon power coin so she could protect Angel Grove in his absence.
Elyse, though, was beyond distraught by his passing and found she could not activate the powers given to her. Unable to become a hero as her 'brother' once was, a wish to leave Angel Grove grew within her heart, which Zordon felt keenly. Deciding that it would be for the best, he secretly sent her away from Angel Grove, allowing her to 'wash up' at Radiant Garden.
